Construction is now fully underway, and the changes behind the theater are becoming visible day by day. With the rear wall opened up, you can begin to see the structure of the building in a way that has been hidden for decades.
This phase of the work involves carefully removing older exterior materials and preparing the building for the next stage of structural improvements. While some of this looks dramatic, it is all part of the planned process to strengthen the building and prepare it for its new life as a cinema and cultural gathering place.
Over the coming weeks we expect to see continued progress in this area as crews move from demolition into the early stages of reconstruction.
