The Park Theater is in a pretty amazing stage of construction right now. With much of the interior opened up, you can see all the way through the building and get a rare look at the original wood framing, roof structure, and the open space where the new theaters will take shape.
The work this week is focused on the foundation and the areas beneath the future theater floor. Crews are excavating, grading, forming, and preparing utilities so the building will be ready for the next major steps. It may not look like a theater again quite yet, but this is the behind-the-scenes work that makes everything else possible.
