What is your connection to the Park Theater and the Lamorinda community?
We moved to Lafayette in 1988 because of the schools, the beauty of the surrounding area and our growing family. We loved going to the movies at the Park and we’ve really missed having a theater in town.
What inspired you to donate in support of reopening the theater?
We support the organizations and causes in which we believe. Education, health, cultural activities and engagement, and an active, thriving community are at the top of our list of elements and organizations we value and that we want to support both locally in Lafayette and also globally. A healthy community, like any other good thing in life, needs our and everyone else’s engagement and support.
What does it mean to you to Light Up the Park?
It’s an exciting time thinking about an even more vibrant downtown area. Having the theater operating again will be an asset for Lafayette’s downtown area and for all ages in our community.
When the Park reopens, what movie would you love to rewatch on the big screen, and who would watch it with you?
We’d like to see UP with our grandkids, and Shawshank Redemption with each other.
How do you like your popcorn, plain or buttered?
Love it buttered, but we order it plain. LOL 🙂
